What do you think about the figure lineup for the ARC-170 coming January?
January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
Several weeks ago, box art of the Winter 2010 Star Wars sets started pouring in. While the full image database can be found in the Guild Member Area, there is one image in particular I'd like to share with everyone, the box art of the ARC-170 Starfighter:

The ARC-170 was one of my favorite parts in Revenge of the Sith, so powerful and deadly, truly a symbol of Republic space power. I don't think the original Lego model did it justice; it was oversized and just didn't flow well. Worst of all, the three pilots of the original ARC were all generic and sported simply re-marked standard Phase II helmets. The ARC-170 pilots had open helmets with yellow visors, as seen below:

The helmets in the preliminary picture of the ARC-170 seem to closely match up to the 'real thing'. Congratulations Lego, you did it right this time. It seems we get two unique pilots, Kit Fisto, and an R2 droid as the set of figures for this set. Please voice your opinion in the poll to the right!!

I chose option two; I'm not PARTICULARLY excited about it, though my old ARC-170 is in shambles (and no doubt this one will go that way as well
), but I'll still probably get it.

Mine is in between #1 & #2.
Since I won't buy it for Davey Jones.

I chose 2 also. The figures are great, but the overall appearance of the ship isn't as good as the first.

Read the title you two, it's just asking about the figs...
Re: January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
Seeing as I missed the first one, I'll definately try to pick this one(I hope its not horrendously overpriced.) As for Kit, 2 are better than 1 right?

I'm uber excited for this, I love the ARC-170 and I never got to have it in the first place, plus I'm looking forward to those new pilots.

I really need to get a job. There is just so much good lego and this set is no exception. I don't have Kit or the other ARC 170 so this is a must.

Re: January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
I'll buy it just for the figures and the sake of having an ARC-170.
Lego-wise, it looks a bit disproportionate in some areas, but that just might be the photo...
Generally, I'm not that impressed by the ARC-170. When I first saw it in Ep 3, I immediately thought "X-Wing, with more pilots." Was kind of expecting something a bit more creative...

Re: January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
I completely agree with you, except I hate the design of the X-wing, as the only Alliance starfighters that appeal to me are B-wings.
But of course, I scrapped my B-wing, so what the hell.

Yeah, B-Wings were nice, but when it comes to SW starfighters, I've only really been a fan of the TIE series fighters, especially Defenders!
Re: January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
The only reason I liked the TIE series was because of how "uniform" they were, the actual look of the TIE was pretty meh too me.

Indeed, spamming 20 squadrons in FoC is deadly...

Re: January 2010 ARC-170 Poll
Since I am not illiterate, I voted for option number one. Great improvement on the pII pilots, a new R2 unit, a semi-rare Jedi, and our first Clone Pilot character all add up to an outstanding lineup of figs for TLG's second take on the infamous ARC-170 starfighter.
