Clone Helmets

Post by Commander Mongoose on Thu Jul 31, 2008 7:11 am

Ok, so about 5 days ago I painted my clone helmets. I wanted the paint off so I asked my friend how to. He said to go put the in acetone. I put some acetone in a PLASTIC cup, with 5 episode 3 helmets in it. Come back later (about 30min). The cups bottom is melted off, a 5 helmets are melted. WHAT SHOULD I DO! Waaa! All the helmets on ebay are $2 and $2 shipping. TLC Discontinued the clone trooper battlepack. Please help! Blue Arc

Register on www.bricklink.com and buy some. If you look for someone with a lot of positive feedbacks and with low prices for the helmets, or even a whole fig you can have them in house the next week. Smile

And next time you try to paint a clone helmet, you could refer to my Clone Helmet Painting guide.

You'll enjoy bricklink. It's a great site. Just be carefull not to go overboard. It's also known in the Lego community as cracklink because you keep coming back for more and overspend! Razz

Make a small hole in the side of the helmet. Do the same with the other and your all set.

When you drill the holes, make sure that they're slightly in front of the circular bump of the hlemet.

Check the Commander Calamitous thread in the minifig creations. There were a few good tutorials in there.

oh, I just remembered. TLC hasn't discontinued the battlepacks. You can still get them at Shop for cheaper than before.

Shop at home? They're not on there anymore I just checked again. A few weeks back there was a huge sale that people snatched up quickly... including me Smile The Droid BP is still available though.

In the UK its the other way round, the Droid DP is sold out but the Clone one is not. Also if you go on replacement parts, you can get Shocktrooper helmets off it.

You guys are in the UK right? I'm in Australia and they're still available over here on Shop. Smile
