It will be at least all of 2012 and 2013 for the two Hobbit movies. So that is at least three waves of releases a year at least 5-6 sets a wave for a grand total of 30-36 sets. Which is plenty for me.

The amount of sets for a series often depends on the sales and popularity of the series, I've seen several lego series over the years have less than 5 sets. But I would imagine the Lord of the Rings series would be pretty popular.
