Would a clear paint work?

We are talking about decals, not paint.

As a sealant? (No more words were required for this post.)

How do you plan to print them? You should be able to select your print size when you print them on to a decal sheet.

Well, to maintain all the detail you lower the size, like when I print out Kam's decals, I resize them to 24%.

For decal paper and paint, go to a hobby shop. For decal glue, I dont know because I can't find them anywhere, and I think theres more materials you'll need, but wuzzupbob should know. Smile Blue Arc

Well decal paper isn't sticker paper. Go to the top of the first page and it'll say what you do with decal paper.

Please edit your original post so you don't double post. Thanks. CABG Staff -eG

Why do people have to be so ignorant!?

For starters, evatnorth, you can use proper punctuation, grammar and spelling. It really confuses people when you use abbreviations and replace the question mark with a full stop.

Secondly, there are two types of decals being discussed now. One is the decals in the very beginning of the post; water-slide decals. These are clear and can only be properly applied to blank torsoes. You don't need any sort of decal glue for them except maybe decal solution. And you need water, just a small bowl.

The other type are stickers. You just print them off and peel the backing paper off, then just apply them. Since they are opaque, you can apply them to any torso; with or without print.

Is there such a thing as clear sticker paper (like most official LEGO stickers)? Inkjet, preferably. If not, does anyone know for certain where you can get A4 normal sticker paper (i.e. white), in a smallish amount (no great big packs of the stuff), in the UK? Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem as jinja. I doubt there is availble transparent stickers; and I can't find any plain sticker paper. I have to use printable mailing lables. You have to get a specific template to use on your computer for them, so it's a pain, but they work alright. I think I got 10 sheets for $4usd.

To quote MMCB, I hope this will work:
You can get full sheet adhesive labels in both white and clear from Avery. Yes they are still shipping/mailing labels, but they are about as close as you're going to get to decent sticker paper. One bonus is that you don't need any templates to print on them since they are full sized labels.

I had to rephrase and rewrite his post to get it to go in. I hope this works.

Thanks for quoting MMCB's post, CC. That's a weird glitch...

MMCB: Thanks a whole lot for the links! Smile The clear ones are a bit steep price-wise, though, so are there any cheaper packets (probably with fewer labels in them)?

EDIT: Oh, I'm a numpty, there was a link to some at the bottom of the page. Turns out there's a pack of 10 here.

I use Avery, one disadvantage is that sometimes since the whole sheet is not a stick the part that you want to be a sticker isn't fully printed onto the label. Fordo Yo!

Well, Faie, assuming Mark is correct, the ones he linked to should be a 100% A4 sticker, so that problem shouldn't come up. Smile

Laughing , classic target moment. But it is better than standing in the video game aisle at Wal-mart and asking if they have a copy of lego starwars, and the employee saying they dont sell video games...
