Wow, those legs are really great! They just seem to flow. Can't wait to see the final version!
Re: Tri-droid WIP
Awesome! This is really cool. Where'd you get the transparent plate?

Nice rooster. The sphere looks good too.

If you could get it to stand up without the supports you would be THE Lego king.
That hint aside I like what I am seeing, the sphere is nice, but the legs I feel are a tad thin, maybe making them a tad thicker would help the supports.

I'm trying to pull it off without having to bulk up the legs (I worked in LDD switching back and forth and the deminsions are perfect according to the reference shot) but I don't think Newtonian physics are on my side here

I'll tell my dad you said so
Re: Tri-droid WIP
Very awesome. I love how you made the legs and sphere, along with the guns as well. Two questions though:
1. What did you use to make the sphere?
2. WOuld you mind post some instructions to this please?

Re: Tri-droid WIP
Update time!
+
=
(Clone Math! (btw the smilie is drinking blood))
So the eyes and body are perfected and I'm just waiting on a light tent for Christmas now to get good shots and a bricklink order for a better transluscent support. Oh and when I get it I'll be posting nice shots of my gunship, y-wing and RC turbo tank too.
Do you guys want update pics, or do you want to wait for the final version?

Re: Tri-droid WIP
So I promised pictures today but it turns out physics and gravity don't smile upon large fragile 2 lb. Lego balls being balanced on toothpicks!
EDIT: Just ordered a crap load of pieces to sure up the structure, so you guys will have to wait on my 4 bricklink orders. It'll be worth the wait though!
