Rook's Recreation grounds.

Post by C.J.Cutrone9 on Mon Jun 06, 2011 11:15 am

Hey I am running out of ideas so if you have one PLEASE tell me. This really was built for fun.

Now this part of Rook's "house" is mainly for the chicks. But he still strolls through here evry once and a while.

Ok here it is.

An overview. Yes they are playing volleyball. I couldn't recall any sport in the SW universe. So I just started looking for parts that would look like something in a sport. I found the black ball and thought it would work.

We all know what TD is looking at.

Inside Rook and two mandos.

and one last overview.

LOL! Lovin' the Rook thing. But there is some flaws IMO. Like the building is a bit plain, yes I know its star wars, but still! Add some more windows! Add a door (i forgot what doors were called in SW Laughing). And add some trees! Put more life into it! Oh don't forget, add a taun taun stable!

I haven't seen to many trees on the sand near the ocean. The door is open because TD is walking by( walk by an automatic door at your local store. It will open.) The windows I don't have anymore so. I really can't do anything else to it. But thank you.

Maybe it's all the sexual themes in this series, but this seems like poor wording. Razz

Aww... well there are trees, just not trees like oaks and stuff, more like palm trees and those sorts, maybe add some rocks for detail!

It has a pretty good idea to it but the problem is that it is a little too plain, more stuff on the beach and a little more detail to the building would make this look much better. Also, maybe you could make a prison or torture room or a meditation area for your next build.

Same. I just keep thinking that these are getting more plain. They're not bad ideas but the moc's are lacking in detail, and anything that will stand out. But I encourage you to keep on building, I like the series! Smile

Although I'm liking these series and your ideas, I think that these MOCs could be improved greatly upon. Like in this MOC, instead of just leaving the beach plain, you could add some trees on the outside or add some grass on the edges to mark where the outline of the playing court is. Instead of just having a smooth blank wall you could try something different: Try putting tiles on the side walls or greebling it or a pattern just to make it look different from a regular wall. As others mentioned windows are also a good idea and someone could be looking outside from it. Also, the top of the walls. I'm not sure how others feel about this, but I honestly don't like leaving the top of the wall with studs. It gives me the impression that the creation is either unfinished or could have more added to it. It also seems like you're coming out with these MOCs rather quickly; I'm not sure if you actually spent a lot of time on each one or you're just rushing them out. But I suggest that you spend a bit more time on each one just to see what you could improve on so that it will look more creative and somewhat different and more unique than all your previous ones! Wink

Please don't take my opinion too harshly just think of it as some suggestions as to how you can improve. Remember it's just my opinion so no hard feelings bro. You're a coming on builder with some good ideas and I expect to see more from you in the future! Smile

I know it's long, but I hope you actually read it.

Yes I did read all that. But acctually these are built like 4 or 5 days in advance. which would explain how fast they are coming out. I gave myself the time I needed to finish the build . But I really didn't think of what you all thought. In fact I have been thinking of the next one for about 3 days now and have not even started. I can not think of ANYTHING. And about the trees and stuff I like the ideas but lack the pieces do to the few sets they have at my local store. But I do thank you for your suggestions guyus. Smile
