Hello fellow guild members! Today I'd like to present you my UCS model of the BARC speeder
If you haven't gathered already, I have a thing for the BARC!

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Lovely! Minus the front 2x2 tile I see bulging up a bit... I don't really think those tiles are very necessary.
Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Not entirely sure what you mean, could you be more specific?

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Wow, that's incredible! Even studs look good on this. The only thing I'm not fond of would be the seat, though. It seems a bit sudden and uncomfortable. Perhaps you could smooth the transition with a 2x2x3 brick?

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
The front nose area looks a bit thick to me but that's about it.
Maybe make a big figure to go with it?

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
I might make a proportionate figure for it. Not sure if I agree about the nose, here's a top view:

It thickens 1.5 studs there, and it fattens up alot on the real thing, what does everybody else think?

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
It actually looks like you could fit a bionicle figure. Nice!

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
I think the part for the legs could be thickened a little, and less studs showing would be good, but nice build!
Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Very impressive build.
Never seen one of these in this scale before! I am not a big fan of all the studs, but that's ok. Now try for a figure to fit this scale.

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Very good, though I'm not into UCS. But the engines are a bit crappy. They somehow make it look a little, eerhm stupid
. But the rest is cool! Especially the seat and the control are
. And why is there something sticking out on the front? Is that accurate to the ''real'' BARC speeder?

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Thanks for all the replies, the bit at the front is accurate. I've given it some love, and reworked the doming backside, and repulsors. I don't know if I'll try to get rid of some studs-maybe. I'll get cracking on the Big-Fig

That BARC is a beauty. I love all the details you put in and the sloping.

Thanks 'Darthpineapple', I've done a lot of work on it, and with some help from another MOCer who I consult alot I'm developing some proportions/Detail stuff. I'll put some updated pics up soon.

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
I've seen your minifig scale BARC's, but this steals the show! There could be less studs, but at this scale, it can slide. Excellent work overall!

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Thanks Knight! Yeah this scale really freed me up from the binding minifig-scale. Here are some updated pics!

I made the back more round and accurate, getting rid of some studs in the process:

I put cheese on my pedals for a more accurate shape:

I also improved the front some:

Re: UCS BARC Speeder
Ooo, even better. If you can get an angled shot like you did with V1. I'll front page it.

Yep, you can enter. At the end of the month in the GMA, there is a nomination thread, then we all vote for our favorite. If you win your MOC is on the portal page for the month, so if you won, it would be there all of April.
