WEEK 1: Create a Darkside Version of Your SigFig

Ok so I'm slaving away for hours again in a second annual MEGA CABG community build. “Community Build!?”, you ask! Well there's several ways to support me in this project today.

1. Box up any and all extra bricks and ship them to me. (PM me seriously! )
2. Send me cash donations so I can miss a few days of work and bribe my boss. (I won’t actually skip work but I could use the cash to pay off my debt. )
3. Post a "Darkside" version of your SigFig in this thread with your SigFig’s bio info, between October 10th, 2010 and November 11th, 2010.

Then assuming you've done #1 or #2, I thank good sirs and madams.
If you chosen the less popular one #3. I'll try to make your SigFig and include it in my final project. (So keep it some what simple or I won't make it.)

Finally stay tuned to this thread as I post new info and community opportunities.

Community Events in Order:

WEEK 1. Post your Darkside SigFig before Nov. 11, 2010.

Bio: Knight

A contracted bounty hunter for the Republic. He believes hunting in the dark always gives an advantage, and an extra rush of adrenaline. He prefers a sword over a blaster, since swords never run out of ammo.

Here is my Darksig.
He is fairly easy to make, but I provided a breakdown, so you know what pieces to use!


Breakdown


Bio: \O_O/ (Yes, that is his name )

Known to strike at night, this Sith is not of the usual type, he prefers Sniping with his long rifle, if that doesn't work, then Turns his darksaber on and charges his opponents at full speed, only for them to fall into two pieces, never knowing what hit them!
Another means of attack is laughing, he is able to scare anyone or anything within a 10 Mile Radius, so, you better look out!

Dutch is a gun for hire. He's served the republic as an assassin and also the separatists as a field commander.

TheMissingPiece, weapon not required. He was a "hired military specialist" for the republic. Although he was a force-user, he did not buy into the Jedi way.

Here's my sig-fig. Not really dark, but when Brickpocylapse(on BrickArk) has hit, nothing is light.

Here is my Darker Sig-Fig, sorry for the obviously hastily done photo. I have long since taken down my "White Room" and I didn't want to go through the trouble to put it up again and then take it back down just to take a picture of a single figure.



Oh and to all of you posting your regular Sig-Figs, you do realize it is you "DarkSide" figure correct? Well with that done I wish you good luck Rook and I'm very anxious to see the finished results, not that you need it as your community involved projects usually turn out quite spectacular.

Sorry I’m posting week two's stuff now since I meant to start this the first full week of Oct. Thus this being the second full week I'm posting WEEK 2 now. Hopefully on Monday or Tuesday off next week I’ll be back on track and post WEEK 3. Micro Weeks!

WEEK 2: Create the Ship's Logo/Symbol

Using only 2-4 colors (Black, dark grey, light gray, and/or dark red) create a 22 x 18 stud logo. Rook will create one for the right wing to represent something and select one of other users designs (Rook may modify design slightly to make over feel of ship’s aesthetics) on the left wing. All submissions must be in by Nov 11. 2010.

Here's a digital template if you want to use it verses actually having to have your Lego in front of you.

Here's just something I though of, sorta based on the Star Forge.



Would probably look better if it was shortened 1 stud on both sides, because of the 1 and 5 length lines I used. (right red pieces would move 1 left and bottom 1 up)

Rook, what program(s) would you suggest we use to make this logo?

See Tac's answer and DP's sample. I'll have mine up soon hopefully. That's that size limit, that's the max space I have. Make it however you can. You could use rows of dead hookers* if you have that many. But then you'd need to use, badly composed, slightly decomposed, recently deceased, and/or fresh & bloody.


*CABG and its staff do not encourage the use of dead hookers or any other previous living beings of any kind.
