Republic Light Cruiser WIP

Post by Knight on Sat Mar 13, 2010 1:56 pm

I'm taking a break on the "ABC" project to work on the Republic Light Cruiser. The ship is 84 studs long, and 28 studs wide. I plan on having an interior, so stay tuned for updates.

A picture of the ship.

Looks good so far, I tried to make one and failed Embarassed but I am going to try again. Two things though, it looks like the sides of the ship area bit high for the ship's length, and the gap at the front looks like it should go back a bit further. A cool idea for the ship would be to have a door at that gap and put speeder there. For reference here's a wookiepedia picture. but other than that it looks great. Surprised Pilot

I've watched tons of builders try to tackle a build this big before, and so far all of them have succeeded. I've neglected to try and have put it off for years, until a time I have more bricks. Originally it was just until I became a better builder. With this being said, I'd like to wish you the best of luck!

I dunno knight, it looks good but it is too think IMO. Maybe if you covered those this technic bricks with th 6xX plates it would look better. It's just way too think compared to the reference picture. But it is your ship so do what you want.

^ Think? I think you mean thick, or does think stand for something?

So far great Knight, but I kind of agree with Bizzle, add some stuff to the side plates so it doesn't look too 'think'. Wink

I'm making it thick because I want it to have an interior, but yes if there was no interior I would make it thin. It's still a WIP, so the bricks will be covered. Smile

That looks really good. By the way, do you have the Imperial Star Destroyer? Is that what you used to make this?

Update!

Knight: Come on shinnies!
Shinnies: Yes sir.

Knight: Oh, hey 667th.
667th: Wow Knight, this looks great so far. This will be great for the corps.
Knight: Speaking of the corps we are one member short.

667th: It looks like we need to have tryouts!
Knight: Wait on second 667th, get back to work shinnies!
667th: Ah, the fun in yelling at shinnies.
Knight: Yes it is fun.

667th: Oh, look!
Shinnies: Were ok.

Yep, thats right the 76th corps needs a new member. Just PM 667th to try out!
