Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
Ok I didn't know the name of the helicopter, like what class it is but what ever. I saw the movie and it was highly inspiring. I couldn't not build something from it! Here it is:

Here is a pic of the mini gun on the inside.

I like this pic of the front. As you will notice the turbines have a...Pattern. That's because I either had to use the pattern because I didn't have enough of each colour, or just not build them at all.

I hope you like it!

It's called the Samson.
I like it, it needs greebles though, and it would nice to have more room for infantry. But it's pretty good.

Most of the copter seemed to look smooth so I didn't know much about the greebs. I wanted more room on the inside but that would have thrown off it's size.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
Dude! That is awesome!
Really nice job.
Really nice job.

Looks pretty good, I never saw the movie, but I think this will make me want to see it!
BTW, it looks like a UNSC Hornet...

Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
It's the same style of the design of a hornet but it looks nothing like it.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
I'ma let you finish, but psiaki had the best Samson of all time!
(Kidding.
)
To be honest, I'm not really digging this MOC. It feels like it's skin and bones right now, like it needs more bulk in it. Also, the top part's angle's look a tad funky.

Sorry to make you feel like turd, but it's more like a Falcon from Halo Reach.
NIce job, but I don't know what that lumpy top thing is.......anyways, it's pretty cool. I also thought this was a scorpion( if it was called that) because there were 2 types of helicopter, the sampson and the scorpion, which had more armor, more things that kill people, and less passenger space.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
Well who cares what it's actually called! It's recognizable, so that's good enough IMO.Jens wrote:Isn't it a VTOL, not a copter right?
It looks like it has potential, but it needs some more work, especially on the top, and it could turn out to be a very good MOC.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
It's definantly called the scorpion I seen it in the movies and have seen many pictures of it. The samson is something else.

Pretty good for a start, I think it's got to be in WIP section, but overall great job.

Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
Its about time someone did a moc from Avatar!!!
It is good, but it does need more room for troops.

*cough*
I don't really need to say anything else.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
I really like it, good job, I also like the pattern on the wings thingys. Good job.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
That is amazing! Great job on the turbines and the overall body shape, loving those guns!

Pretty accurate build, love how you did he whole thing. It is a hard build but you managed to accomplish it, good work.
Re: Avatar Helicopter (minifig scale)
Great work Xion! The pics are still a little fuzzy but we can work with that.
It's good that you included the turret in the back because the choppa would be incomplete without it. I'm feeling a few decal stickers on the side and this baby will be rockin' and rollin'!
