Yeah, although it is probably in the rules, it doesn't seem quite what the contest is, if you add more parts.

It's adding only one piece. And it must be a transparent piece. That's not adding a lot, especially since the shuttle has a cockpit/windshield but TLG decided to make it without one.

The contest allows you to add one more piece for a wind shield.

i personally like the orange wind shield. It gives the piece a more stylish and eye catching look.

Also makes it look faster, like racer cars painted in bright colors.

Don't submit this yet though rook. Your pieces are getting better and better. Wait till the very end:P.

Oh for sure. That's why I'm posting here. I think they all look good but then I made them. Also, (You can stop listening now, this is old man talk and you'll tune it out anyways.) bright orange is opposite (contrasting colors) of dark blue on the color wheel therefore they are colors that go well together.

I knew about the color choice as well, since you know the designer in me. And after reading your tutorial I figured you took that into consideration when designing and picking the piece for this one.

I just wish the blue could have been opposite the orange, where the grey is but the parts won't allow it there. Maybe the next build you can have the orange and blue next to each other and not on each other?


But looking at it again, I think your way works better then what I am suggesting only because of the little bit of blue you have compared to the grey.

Yeah I'm thing about doing kind of the reverse shape of this. If it works I might call it "Stolen Naboo Starship" or something like that.

Yeah I'm working on one final one then I'll probably call it quits. I was feeling pretty good about this last one until I saw one of latest entries. My goal is to try to make top 10. But FBTB has quite a few big ringers.

I also like the Skimmer Set as well, but as I said above the orange colored wind-shield kind of takes away from it.

Maybe make the wind-shields different colors.

Its a hard choice between the last 2. These are vastly getting better and better... I think I like the shuttle better but its hard because I like all the techniques in the recon craft.

Yeah there's this guy though that I think is better built. However it's not so much SWU as it is Japanese animation. But not everyone clues into that fact when they're voting.
