No, there's not gonna be anything blown up! Maybe a broken down Willys Jeep, but I'm finishing the Sherman to support the other.

You sure can Pyro!
Prototype Designs

No, not brickarms or LEGO prototypes, but my kind of prototypes, which shall be in the Forests Of Normandy MOC. The Tree I need to reproduce about 30 times, I've got the pieces for about 3-4 atm :S The sandbags shall be infront of the Flak 88's. Fig for scale. Improvements? TIps? Anything?
Update on the overall progress: I've got the entire base laid out now, received the parts for my next batch of americans today, and I've decided to include the Halftrack in the MOC too. This is the Flak 88 design I shall be modifying to my liking

Awesome, simply awesome. I've been following alot of your work and I am very very impressed. I love the sandbags, I was recently trying to figure out a way to do the same thing. I like the effect. Mind if I ever use the technique? Not sure if its "your" technique. Have you tried seeing how it would look with finished tiles as the last layer?
Re: My Largest Project to date - Forests of Normandy WIP
I like them. Are you going to make different sizes of trees?

It is not my design but so often used it is not credited anymore. Tiles on the last layer would make the sandbags lose the curviness, so I do not intend to replace them.

Nice like the tree and sandbags. Only thing is... well their sandbags maybe sand color?

Only thing is...well, they're prototypes, they'll still be 'sand coloured' the final model.
@DP: Probably not, I'm not trying to spend all too much money, and this is the simplest least-using pieces tree I could make.

Yes, good idea.
Also make them have more foliage if at all possible.

Do you know how much those leaves cost? I'm already spending a fortune on that
Re: My Largest Project to date - Forests of Normandy WIP
I really like the sandbag idea, and I hope the trees will be as good or better than the ones you've made before.

Re: My Largest Project to date - Forests of Normandy WIP
I'm sorry about the off topic post , but could you open a thread for the Sherman tank again? (if i posted on the other topic I'd get banned for major uber bumping
). I would like help on mine.
Re: My Largest Project to date - Forests of Normandy WIP
Hey Phima, It would be cool if you could tell me the pieces you used in that tree. Thanks. And good luck on your project.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say he used slopes, leaves and arches. Wow, I must be a genius.

Well, this thing isn't dead yet. I've just changed the setup to save myself a bit of money on supplies, but it should still be just as awesome
Expect a picture in the next couple days.

Re: My Largest Project to date - Forests of Normandy WIP
PhiMa, if you can pull this off, it would be too good for words.

K, so, I've decided not to continue work on this project seeing as I simply don't have
1)The patience
2)The money
3)The Bricks
4)The time
to make a project this size. Apologies to all who were awaiting this to be finished.
