Humvee WIP

Well I am making a humvee while I wait for the funds to buy the base plates for my Major WIP. This is what I have so far:


This is a rough version of what the body of the Humvee will look like. When it is finished it will be all tan with US Rangers in it. But at the moment I am in need of major help lengthwise. My dad who was a marine and drove these around says the length is ok, but I want more opinions. Any thoughts are welcome. The back will stay as it is as that is the only part I am satisfied with right now. The wheels will most likely be the wheels I used on my Warthog. Pictures:

Good idea, but I don't remember seeing a dark bluish gray Humvee in Black Hawk Down... JK

Yes I am looking forward to this already! I love that movie! Nice so far.

Pizza- I am going to buy all the tab pieces after I make this using multiple colors so I know exactly how many of each piece to but. Any tips on the Humvee?

I've already changed it up since I was able to move a laptop into my room. Its amazing how much easier it is to make a MOC of a real thing when you are able to see a picture of that thing.

Wow, I can't wait to see more on the Humvee. I can't give you any tips right now, there isn't much to help you with so far, but when you get further get along I can help.

Its not a scene from the movie. If you have read the book/other resources there is a part where a Humvee is trying to get back to base takes a wrong turn and gets ambushed.

The hummer's frame is lookin good. Perhaps go with a snot camo pattern throughout the vehicle? Just a suggestion.

Revo-Nope no snot camo. It's going to end up being all tan like the ones used in Iraq and in the Black Hawk down movie. Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not really sure how I would even do the camo.

Update- For now I am just making the Humvee. I don't have the pieces/ideas to make a Somalia MOC at the momment. So it's just gonna be a humvee for now.

A top turent on the roof wold be pretty cool.

It looks fine how long it is. You should keep it this way.

I'm working on one right now we can compare notes. I'm not in the guild. YET! so i'll have to pm you.

I think great idea to consider is making it have a movable suspension like done here.
