Hammerhead Assault Frigate WIP

I'm building a large ship again, this time based upon the Hammerhead capital ship used by the Old Republic. The clone is just for scale, this ship isn't Minifig scale.

That looks cool DP. Will it have an interior?

It looks good so far, I like the way the engines have been made.

Thanks for the replies. I've added some plating to the bridge (the hammer part) and to the 'neck'. And yes Troopa Daisy I also really like the engines. Sadly those yellow pieces don't come in bley or any other grey color, only yellow and orange, which means I can't cover them up completely. I did put a 4x4 round plate to the back of the engine, followed by a 3x3 trans - light blue dish (don't have 4x4's ).

You definitely have the shape down. I'm looking forward to the next update.

Maybe make the back part longer...the square part before the engines...should be longer, or else it looks funky.

There's a fin between the 2 engines. It may look very square now, but there will be some sloped plating.

Another update!



I lengthened the back and added some plates. Won't take long to complete anymore. It will be finished before Christmas!

Some special facts:

- This is my largest creation to date, with a total lengths of about 70 studs, it beats out my previous largest by 20 studs.
- The total ship weighs over 1,2 kg already.
- I was originally planning on making a Star Forge model, but it didn't work out, so I started making a ship based on a Hammerhead, which is (sort of) related to the Star Forge.

Great job, DP.I wish I had enough pieces to build a big ship like yours.(or Rook's)

Heh, I took apart my UCS AT-ST & Vader's TIE for this, and maybe my AT-TE needs to go too. You may be surprised how big MOCs you can actually make when you take apart a few big sets.

Yeah, I hated taking them apart though.
