Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
This is a 18x18 vignette of my attack on Mon Calamari set. By set I mean I will be making more of these.
I appologise for crappy pics but there is no where in my house that has good lighting, anyways on to the moc. Mon Calamari as you know it is an Ocean world with floating cities using giant ballast tanks. Their cities have a stone type architectural design and are covered in gorgeous colourfull moseaics. Thats why I decided to build this. The 602nd legion is on their way to liberate the Calamari from the CIS.

I hope you like it guys! Any comments or critism appreciated.

Fixed title for you, unless of course you made up Calamarie or something. Otherwise, it looks pretty good. I like the mix of colors. Can we have a backstory?
Re: Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
Good job! I like the wall and the statue at the top the best!

Re: Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
Wow. That's so cool! I love the statue on the roof.

With that attitude you're right.
Just look at me...
my Mocs used to look like this:

(That's a star destroyer BTW)

Re: Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
Not bad, fix the studs near the steps, and maybe position the trooper taking cover a bit more. Oh, and perhaps another Droid.
Nah, good job.

Yeah, you're right Darth Yoda.
I have made pretty cool mocs and other stuff but i don't take pictures!
But the Mon Cal. thing is still more detailed than my stuuf.

Re: Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
It is a bit plain, only some figs and a wall. The mosaic could be a bit more intricate.
Ha ha!
Sorry, but it doesn't seem like anything special.

Have you looked closely at the walls and floor? Could you do that?

It's quite simple, so yes. The moc is good and I'm sure it is the start of a good set, but compared to some of the other thing CCX has done, it isn't quite his best.

It's overall a great MOC, but don't mix pieces with and without studs like you did on the floor, it ruins the MOC and makes it look messy when it shouldn't.

It's ok, it could use some more detail on the wall and if I were you I would make the ground completely studless.

It ISN'T simple. The floor is intricately designed with a coloring pattern; perhaps you're colorblind.
And perhaps you're farsighted, because atop the wall endowed with two pillars is a statue of a Mon Calamarian. I guess that's too mundane for you.
Nice work; I like the small but detailed setting.

Re: Front Lines: Attack On Mon Calamari
Agreed. The floor is a bit to overdone, but I love the statue on top and the detail here. Pretty well done!
