Omaha beach invasion

That scene is epic. Very nice job on the landscape. I like the waves and the water, but the sand and water should be a blood red because it's Omaha Beach is it not? So many Americans died on that beach. The other troops were swimming and crawling in blood. Soldiers got torn to shreads, drowned, and chopped up by propellers. Nice job though.

This is a wip and my creation will be something of that sort.

Always wanted to see that movie, but never did. Hopefully I will see it in the future. Another gory war movie is Black Hawk Down. Read the book first though.

Get a residence in Germany and get some from the cheap sets from Sluban... Or get some mainland European to order them for you and then ship them to you... That's the only way I'm afraid that I can think of.

Well, Despite the fact that I won't get the helmets in a while I have made some god progress....

I think it would look better if the German officer had some sort of gun and less badges. Other than that, I like it!

I was just wondering about the actual fig.

The figs look pretty good. The Americans will have helmets though right?

I really like the appearance of the water- that looks realistic. Obviously you've got to put rubbish all over the beach as the Germans did to block the invasion. If you can try to offset the landing craft in the water, tilting it just to give the viewer some nice angle pleasures for the eye. The cliff face and rocks with pillboxes in them is what should make the moc. Be sure to add a lot of detail there and try to make the cliff faces relatively high. Finally the beach itself should not be snot. Sand is coarse and looks more realistic with studs on top. That help?

Yes it does! I love the idea of the boat being sideways. And as I said, the beach is just a placeholder...

Oh, and Hazel now carries Dark green M1 helmets so I'm saved!

I'm sorry, Kashyyk trooper torso doesn't work. What could work is the Luke Skywalker torso with dk. grey arms and legs, or the Harry potter statue torso with dk. bley arms and legs.

Officer looks good, as do the americans, but hopefully you'll still be changing that female face.

Random pieces look good, beach looks great, although I might add some studs to the water so that you can stick some trans clear cheeses on there to make small waves. Also, I envy your large amount of tan plates...

I think that I will keep that female face...

I mean, it is a bit girlish but there are no other faces like that (That are boys) and I think it really will portray that part of the Moc very well.

That's a good idea for the sniper though... I'll use the luck torso!
