The Eradicator

Post by Sithassassin on Tue Oct 27, 2009 6:35 am

This summer I had a lot of time to build and create because I did not have to focus on school, I also did a bit of cleaning. While I was cleanning, I was moving my (6211) Star Destroyer to a different room when it broke in half. It wasn't that great of a set so I decided to scrap it. Most people think of me as a good customizer but not a very good builder; I wanted to prove them wrong. I debated for a while and decided I would make an Acclamator. I tried about 3 different designs and came up with basically, a blob. I scrapped that and tried a few more designs. Finally I came up nothing and descided to give up. in the begining of October I had a 4 day week end and thought I might try another go at it, only this time a would try a different place to start. In the begining I would make the base or skelaton and build everything around it. This time I built the wings and built the base to match. It's the the best and the shaping and angles arn't perfect but it sturdy and looks good for only using the pieces from 6211 and 20 other parts (6 of which are technic pins).

This is a very special MOC to me. I really wanted to finsish this so I could show it as my 1 year anniversay of being a member of CABG. When I first heard about CABG (through CAC) I looked around for a few days and really wanted to join after I saw all of the awesome MOC you guys made. When I first joined I posted a link to my MOCpages account and was accepted into the Guild very quickly.

I may not be the most avid member, I may not always post, get interviews, or get a section in our great news papers. However I do love to give and receive advise from other members. Joining CABG has made me a better builder, customizer, etc.

Last but not least I would like to thank Clonecommando007 for making an awesome lego site, and YOU the members of CABG for making this such a great place!

Looks good, though I think the middle is too fat compared to the rest of the ship. I really like that you included an interior. Smile

That's seriously one of the best alternates I've ever seen. The only extra parts you've used are technic pins and the dark red tiles?

This is the best thing I've seen on here in months, literally.

Great job, I love all the little detail, and the small interior for the officer.

The 'wings' or sides are a bit too skinny. Wasn't an Acclamatora a big and bulky ship because it carried cargo, such as starfighters and troops? I think the engines are pretty nice though. Plus the interior may be small, but at least it includes minifigs! It's like another TLC model! Razz

Like Alpha said that is the best MOC to be posted in along time. I like the feel this MOC has going for me. Sleek, somewhat sexy. You captured the shape perfectly.

Wow. Much better of a ship than I could ever do. Personally, I find no flaws that stand out to me. Congradulations on a job well done! A toast!

This is a smexy ship. Sleek, and nicely greebled. Congrats on your one year anniversary at the CABG! I think this ship has a different air about it than most others. It gives it this uniqueness that I find cool. Great job!

Pretty good, though I think the "arrow head" needs to be wider.

It's pretty cool, I'd add more slanted tiles to it, at the moment it's just a little blocky. Wink

Excellent build, one of the best i've seen. I would cover up the white part in the back, but still, definitely one of your better builds.

Very nice job. The only problem is the little bit of white in the back, and the shape is great. Epic win.

Man that's nice. The white in the back dose need some work, and the front needs to be out more. But other then that it is a great build.

Cool! Lots of good detail, the only problem I see is the "wings" need to be extended more outward.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. I put a lot of time into this and Im glad you all like it.

@DP: I used 6 technic pins plus 14 other pieces not including the Republic Red.

I do hope to expand and this and work out some of the problems.
