I'm thinking it's going to take some Photoshop skills to make that. Good thing I've practiced. Wow this thing looks

Everything in my picture was free. I made it with GIMP. I don't really need Photoshop yet.

Awwww......darn! Doh! Well, In my opinion Photoshop is better. For example I made my Avatar in 20 minutes with great detail. I don't think I could have done that with GIMP.
But if you ever need Photoshop, PM me. I've got a code sitting around. Wink

I know this is a BUMP but I think this thread needs to stay alive and I think this is an acceptable BUMP. If not then please correct me.

Anyway I was just messing around on the forum and ran into TB's blaster How to. I like the way it came out.

Me and my friends have a project for German class. We have to 'sell' products and understand them as part of the culture. My group chose to make berliners- cream filled pastries. We used some gimp brushes and functions and threw this advertisement together. We're collaborating with the French and Spanish classes too, so we he had to give them some 'understanding' of our product. Not exactly Van Gogh, but you know what, it's ours and we're proud of it. Looks good, considering it was random. Are you making it for anything in particular?

So I got Photoshop CS5 Extended, and I'm trying to figure out how to use it. I made this not using a specific tutorial, and just using what I know from GIMP:

Quite a bit of a bump, but I feel like graphic design should be more popular in our community. Anyway, Photoshop CS4 Extended. It's awesome, a little out of date, but awesome none-the-less. I created this simple inlayed wood text effect using layer masks and a disco font called Bifurk.

I feel like I should post some tutorials to get this thread going again. Yes/No? Answer in the comments please.

Yo, if anyone's interested, Photoshop CS6 is in beta, so you can use it for free for a limited time. Wink
