Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
I need help with something all you GIMPers. In sials first comic he didn't use fire he used a cool smoke/fire technique. Would some one mind telling me how he did that. I spent a few hours trying and could figure it out.

If you could figure it out, then why are you asking?

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
What smoke/fire effect? I do a lot of those
.
Was it the thick smoke from burning fires hanging over Cuipernam in the first scene? Or the white smoke/fog on the battlefield? Was it the transition between fire to smoke? Was it the use of a fire brush as a smoke brush?

Glass reflection. If you were to look through a window that's light on the inside, from the darkness outside, and the light's hitting it strangely, then there should be some sort of glare and reflection.
Getting it right is really a challenge
. I've made at least ten attempts at it so far.

Now that I reread that, yes it did. Sial.

I'm on my iPod so I'm gonna have to try and describe it to you. It's one of the scenes in your first comic. It's the episode where the speeder gets hit on the bridge and one of the gunners is killed. It is also the one with the picture that got MOC of the month.

Thanks Thunder-blade. I've still got lots to learn.
EDIT:What do you think of this?

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Caption, and crop. The crop on Niner is sloppy, his overall path-out is lacking, and he's too blurry and messy
.
Now below is my first adequate attempt at window glare/reflection. It's really hard making it seem as though your looking through the glass from outer space. Hard camera angle to do :X .
