But seriously, nice job! And finally using Lightsabers, aaah?
Jinja's the one using the lightsabers... and would ya' believe he wouldn't let me use it even after I changed it three times to meet his needs?
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
**** me... Has anyone else had this problem:
Every now and again, when I load GIMP and click on Open, the entire program will freeze - completely. I can't even close it or terminate it with Task Manager. Then when I restart the computer, it won't even load pass the BIOS screen (or whatever that boot-up stuff is called). Only when I completely disconnect and reconnect it from the power will it suddenly boot up as normal.
Reinstalling the program doesn't seem to fix it either...
Anyways, here's a backdrop I made using GIMP and LDD for my comic:

It still a WIP and I'm just seeing how well lego does as backdrops - please give C&C.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
That is the sexiest backdrop I have ever laid eyes on in my entire time doing comics. Well done! I may just have to investigate LDD....
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Here's another one I made:

More of a sky view. The mountains didn't quite work out how I wanted them too though...

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Here' my attempt at a cropped in sky! I learned a lot from my first Greem Screen Attempt, and I really think I know how to do it now!

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
It looks fairly good! Once you apply lighting to it, you really won't be able to tell the difference. One pointer - though - it seems you left it either too big, or stretched it out some. Natural perspective in the real world would make the picture smaller, so you'd see the clouds and what-not you hid behind the set. It's okay to put more than blue sky in there
.
Also... you've got shadow up against the sky...

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
I'm trying to make a space backdrop in Gimp, but it's looking fugly. Anyone got any ideas?
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
How are you doing it at the moment? I'd recommend taking a blank black background and adding some noise to look like stars.

I made this but I'm not sure how that little white line got there.

Zeph, may I present to you: Google Image Search.
Comrade, I believe the capitalist PNG file format does not support transparency. When you were editing, the layer which contained our glorious propaganda was nudged slightly away from the red border, revealing transparency. When converted, the transparency turned to white, creating that white line. For Socialism!

Do you still have it in the XCF file format? Because the swine haven't made any of their formats transparency compatible. The best chance at fixing this is either nudging that layer up in the XCF file, or just touching it up in the converted format to hide the mistake.
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Now I remember the capitalists forced me to move the layer down when I was they (I) was experimenting on it.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Do you have to pay for GIMP? Because I might get it.

Oh no, it would appear an ADMIN needs to delete this post, because MODs can't delete in this forum. What a load.

@435thlegion:Just go to the image button in the top bar of the post you're writing, copy in the URL and hit OK. (and try not to double post. The MODs and Admins LOVE getting people on that
)
I'm not sure about getting GIMP. I have a few qustions. In paint after you finish a picture, it alters your design so colors are different (like if you put a purple next to a gray, the gray turns to a lighter purple instead of staying gray). Does this happen in GIMP?
