Thanks, but no can do. If I were to lower it, It'd show some of the technic axels. I could maybe lenthen it though...

I think making it a tad longer, Or greebling the technique axle and letting it show..?

Update! I've got the turret basically done, now come the greebles, hatch, and back area.

Re: StuG III Major WIP
It's nice, but the gun and supports are kinda fail.

First, make the part which actually holds the gun more blocky.
Then, redo the entire barrel. Make it longer. First attach a 1x1 round plate, then a 1x1 round brick, a rod on op of that, then some of these over the rod, and then either a 1x1 cone or brick, whatever looks best.
And then put one of those robot hands on a jumper plate right under the gun.
And it needs more wheels. A lot more wheels. Also different sizes.

Re: StuG III Major WIP
In regards to the beginning conversation: Yeah, it'd be impossible to not use slopes, but not impossible to not use 2x2s. In fact, I think you'd need VERY few 2x2 slopes. 1x3s, 2x4's are going to make up the entirety of this thing, I believe. The STuG has much more gradual sloping, 2x2's would only be useful at maybe the very top of the vehicle, before it levels out and begins sloping down.
As to this new WIP... it's not right. It's not supposed to be perfectly flat in the front of the gun, nor is it along the sides. It's sloping very gently. This is turning out to be too chunky

Well, this is about as far as I'll probably bring. It might scrap it though, seeing as the wheels aren't right, and I might need them for refurbishing my sherman.
Comments/Suggestions anyone? Should I scrap it?
Re: StuG III Major WIP
I would love to finish a project like that! The gun and everything else looks fine, especially the hatches you managed to get in there! Just a few more plates plus an interior and more treads and you've got a finished Stug.

No don't scrap it yet!
You have only a little bit to go and maybe some greebles if your not going for accuracy.

Re: StuG III Major WIP
It's too tall, and it simply isn't long enough. You need to extend the back to add the engine hatches, spare parts, so forth. I also think you've got the hatches botched up. But your length is the greatest issue, here. I think it's because you didn't build the treads properly, that you weren't able to achieve the proper size
.

Re: StuG III Major WIP
Mmmmh. I've changed my mind, seeing as I don't have enough dk. bley slopes to continue work on the sherman, and so I've worked on this a bit. I sloped the sides, and worked on greebles, plus I re-worked the top.
@80-0: I could maybe add an interior, but I've got no more poles to add more wheels and lengthen it.
@Darman: Thanks!
@Sial: I agree. But like I said to 80, not enough technic poles to add more wheels. If I would, I would lengthen it. And...what do you mean 'Bootched up'?

Re: StuG III Major WIP
I believe he said Botched, not Bootched, which in this case means frakked.
