Mule

Post by bedaho on Sat Aug 01, 2009 9:52 pm

This is my WIP Mule hovercraft. It's mostly done, but there are a few pieces I have yet to find and some color changes to make. As usual, this is the product of a day digging through my collection for pieces that work with omly some reference pics as a plan and as usual, though it's not perfect, I'm mostly happy with it.

This looks geat! It looks Anakin's speeder from Episode II when he's chasing Zam Wessel. I hope it's supposed to look that way, cause it looks great!

That's someone's model of the mule. I realize that mine's a bit cramped, but that's the look I'm going for.

I really do admire your piece usage in the frontal air intakes, and I laud your ability to change the elevation of the craft mid-chassis, with no viewable gaps or breaks. The rear compartment is of a simplistic design, however it's still quite nifty Razz, and the grills on the rear chairs are a nice touch - I'd love to see them on both rows!

All in all, it's a splendid start, but I feel that it should be... a little larger (as appears the model above), and beige Wink .

I know this is your own model, but Legohaulic has recently showcased his on Flickr and it has some very nifty ideas. Wink

It's got some great angles in there Bedaho, and I'm diggin how well it matches the reference pic. I'd probably tile those 'white boxes' on the sides of the craft and try to do something new with the front 'intake' areas. Also I feel like the back sides need to be cleaned up a little where those 1x4 grill pieces are. The gray piping (though not yellow) looks fantastic with the angles on the ship.

Hey guys, a quck update on my progress. I still need some colors swapped and there are stand in pieces as well as places where I will add something but don't have a stand in. The windshields are too thick for my liking so I'm frying to find some clear tiles. Also, the tube in the back is a stand in.
