101st 'Screaming Gizkas' Regiment
I've started working on these again, and I don't know what else to give them as their gear.
They will wear my backpacks with side straps, as well as gun holsters, if I even finish them. Now this is what I've planned so far, but I could use ideas for what to fill in the blank spots.
Regular trooper (4): rifle, bipod, shovel, grenades, [side strap item]
Medic (2): carbine, medpacks, 2 floodlights as bacta, 2 small boxes, [2 side strap items]
Commander (1): rifle, shovel, binocular, (possibly) grenades, [side strap item]
So any ideas?

Side strap item for regular troopers should definantly be the Brickarms Combat knife.

Just call it a vibroblade.

I think the trooper's side strap item should be another floodlight. You know, if they're isolated and need healing, they just give themselves some bacta.

Re: 101st 'Screaming Gizkas' Regiment
Maybe, but it's a little small and could easily be put into the backpack itself.

Good point.
How about a U-clip?
You know? The 101st airborne used those "Crickets" to know where each other are. You could make a star wars version.

Yea I know that, it's like the 'Flash ... Thunder!' thing. it's a good idea but again too small for a side strap.

What about flares? Not sure how that can be achieved, but I recall flares being used in 'Rookies'.

Re: 101st 'Screaming Gizkas' Regiment
I would propose using f-fire missiles and a small flame at the end for the effect... Though that's a pretty big flare.
