Commando Sev WIP-looking for Sev decals and such

Hello. It's me, (insert name here). You remember me? Nope, didn't think so.

I have returned for a short time, because I am making my first modded figure, Commando Sev.

I have cleanly and carefully cut and sanded off the fin to a CW clone trooper. So far this is where I stand:



NOTE: I apologize if the pictures seem blurry.

What my problem is is that this is my first time using and applying Decals. I found this paper at a nearby Hobby Lobby store.


I have found a Sev decal at FineKam, but unless I see a better and more accurate one, I'll use theirs.
Anyway, I need to know what would be the BEST way to apply his helmet decal, being it a sloppy mess and all.
Also, I want his visor to look something like Wuzzie's CW Commando. But I don't know where I could get one at.
So if anyone can give me a run-through on how to make a Sev, or if you know of more accurate decals for him, I'd appreciate it very much.

You should definitely use Wbob's commando backpack. And since when does Sev has a visor? The helmet is very smooth though!

Whoops. I guess I mean the blue-ish "eyes" on the helmet.

(I thought that was called a visor...)

Ah, well you could just paint it, I guess. Or use a decal.

Some people aren't as lucky as you to get defects/perfects from Wuzzupbob's Defect Sale.

It's nice, I always like sanded helmets. It makes me want to do it... nah.

How much was the inkjet sticker paper for your decals?

Thing is. I can't find a blue decal. I don't want the whole black visor-eye-whatever thing to be "Commando Blue", I just want the top of his eyes. Similar to wuzzopbobs.

INH!!! You're back!!! The sanded helmet looks good so far. And yes, it is called a visor. That is the same decal paper I use, so it will work good. Did you remember to pick up some decal sealent? If not, than the decal is worthless. And if you want a visor like wuzzie's, I would suggest asking him if he could give you the design. I'm sure he would be wouldn't mind you using it for personal use.

Oh, well either use an Ep. II helmet or us decals wich are partly blue.

I just remembered. I don't have any idea what the decal size should be before I print it. I know it takes trial and error by just guessing, but I don't have the time or the ink to do that. To all you Decal users, if I was to resize them on Photoshop, what would the general size be around? (I need it for the torso, legs, and arms.)

I'm sure he wouldn't mind you using it.

If you want to have a blue visor, use colour to paint it. I use for my visors Revell Email colour in light blue. It looks fantastic!
