Digital Firearm Mockup - "Vera"

Jayne's very favourite gun from Firefly, cobbled together digitally from a bunch of BrickArms weapons. Might work IRL, if you can mold plastic with your bare hands. Razz

Oh, and yes, I really have no idea about gun terminology, so if the li'l scope and back bit have real names, You can keep them to yourself while quietly laughing at me.

Think of this as a continuation of the conversation between Muffin and I yesterday. Wink

Hey that looks pretty good. Without the reference pic it looked kinda odd with all the colors but now I see it;s meant that way.

A very gaudy weapon; may I ask what the use of having several bullets clipped to the buttstock is?

Ammo. 'Cause sometimes guns run out of bullets, donchaknow. Also, heehee, 'buttstock'. Laughing Wink

Oh, because ammo goes in clips, don'tchaknow. So instead of keeping two or three extra full clips they take out the one they're using and refill it bullet by bullet. Real genius.

They are on clips, silly. Look, just squint a bit at the base. Besides, it's fictional and it's from the future, who knows what kind of whacko technology it uses, especially after Jayne's upgraded it. Razz

A-ha! Here's an idea: It's a rifle clip similar to those used in the American Garand and the German KAR-98, buuuut the clip on the rifle is stuck in the rifle; it isn't taken out, and the ammo clip is simply pulled out of the back of the magazine, with the new clip(mounted on the buttstock) inserted likewise.

That's very clever - The only problem I'm thinking of is how the minifig is going to hold it - If the buttstock is too close to the handle the minifig might not be able to hold it properly, or you might have to cut the trigger guard off.

Very cool jinja. One thing the back bit would be called the stock and the lil' scope is most likely a laser scope. I have SOCOM and they kinda look like that.

The problem is that I can see no way a minifigure could pose with it properly because of the buttstock. It's too long to fit.

The bullets in the stock(or buttstock) are not going to work. Make an ammo pouch or something. But don't forget to make the bullets smaller than the suppresor.

Well legos often have very over sized utensils and weapons. Wink But, this weapon is modded from brickarms so he didn't really have the chance to make it smaller.
