Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
I keep confusing myself about WIPs; I think if there are pics it goes in the CAC forum, whereas constantly do people get bugged for posting something in the WIP forum with no pics.
Also, inside the two doors on either side of the stairwell leading downstairs are two dual turrets manned each by a gunner. I'm going to have a big redoux of this; I already have the locale for most of it planned out. And I admit I'm peeved about the green baseplate...

Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
I like it so far, especially the slits in between the walls of the upper level- it reminds me of the Jedi Temple and Coruscant for some reason. I suggest using gray plates up top rather than black just because the black is too dark. If you're going to stay with the black perhaps you should greeble it a little with lighter gray and light gray bricks to kind of go along with the color scheme. Nice controls so far too.

Nice 80-0. I would use gray plates in place of the black ones like many people before me have said. I like how that one control is set up it is pretty darn cool. But who/what is the clone with the lightsaber?

It's looking good, but I suggest making it all dark grey.

Tut; that's their General.
He's leading them to the hangar bay where the gunship lies. Once I have a X-size grey baseplate I'll put that under the gunship and attempt to make a decent hangar.

Let me see what I have first, but I'll surely attempt that.

Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
Well, this is going to sound noobish. . .How did you make the walkways that are elevated off the ground?
Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
Half square pillars you might call them; they're six bricks high I think, and 1x2 on the top. They hold up the walk-way and the doors/other things are held up by side-studded bricks.

Thanks, but I am still a little confused. . .

Ah, those Pillars are very usefull.
Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
Actually they're five bricks high; the correct specs are 1x2x5, and here's a pic from Peeron:

Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
I like it so far but the second floor plates could use some dusting off! I like it though.
Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
Yes, dustiness is one of my nemesise.
As for how I'm doing so far, I've relocated the command center to above the gunner control station, moved the stairs to a double stair, and had a baseplate put over the gunner control station to house the command center which will be elevated over the entrance to the landing field where the 37th's gunship is.
Did I say 37th? Yes. I did. Now someone put these guys in a Legion.
(anyone? I'd love to start Legion'ing here)

Re: Semi-WIP Republic Base
Very good, especially on greebling the walls. But why are all your clones wearing commander gear? Is this a training base for the GAR's commanders?
