XJ-15 Airspeeder

I'm ripping apart my last few builds and I statred a XJ-15 Airspeeder (looks like crap). I can't get the colors & pieces right. If I build it in the colors that it is in the picture, I won't have the right pieces. So: Should I not build it? Build with similar colors? Or build with right colors and work with the pieces I have?

I'd go with different colors, it looks like the prototype uses mostly Republic red and dark grey, dark grey is easy to come by, Republic red is not as easy, especilly in basic parts.

TLC made a set extremely similar to this, but it was in yellow and lime. It was in the Zam Wessel chase set, which I have. I don't know if you knew that, or if it changes your mind about building it.

Yep, got one sitting right beside it to keep it to scale.

I'll probably go Red Red and light or dark gray then.

THAT would look good! If it uses basic enough parts I might try to build it so I can have a variety of speeders for Coruscant.

Good idea, I love red red.

I can't wait to see this. You can make it in any color you want, I would like to see a dark blue one.

I think I have have even less dark blue.
