The great Venator Project

Post by Pandascide on Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:31 pm

Now before you jump out of your socks it might not be exactly what you think. I will build hardware and rooms and just about anything else in this fantastic ship. a list of current, upcoming, and completed sections will be featured here. If you have anything you made that you would like to add post them here.

Current: Sections of the Bridge

Upcoming: T.B.D.

Completed:
Remote Turret Control- 2/17/09
Exterior Turbolaser- 2/17/09
Auto Defense CPU- 2/18/09

Yes some of these things are based off of Battlefront 2 but they aren't actually where they are in game. They could be anywhere in the ship.

Remember I'm not making a huge-full-minifig scale ship here. Just individual items. Wink

Remote Turret Control-Completed on 2-17-09

Protecting your Cruiser one shot at a time! The Remote Turret Control or RTC is a key defensive element to the Venator Cruiser. As seen in Battlefront 2, one more Republic Ship is safe.

Overview.

Looks like Mr. Pilot is happily occupied.

It's a remote station. It doesn't even have a gun attached to it; it is connected remotely to a gun situated on the Venator's hull. This station is in the bridge.

In response to Hunt, some people change the clone pilots torsos. Personally I think it looks better.

The DBY-827 heavy dual turbolaser turret helps protect your Venator by beating down those Sepratist Starships.

I admit, I could have done better on this one. Especially on the actual beam emitters.? However there was no easy/good looking way to construct this.

The venators in BF2 are not 'canon' venators, you don't have turret controls RIGHT AT THE HANGAR!
That'd be dumb.

The Auto Defense Central Processing Unit. Keeping your ship safe from the inside. While probably featured inside the Bridge the Auto Defense system keeps auto turrets running inside and out.

On, a different note it looks like sections of the Bridge will be next.
