7676 Republic Gunship Alternative Nose Art Project

Hello fellow Clone Army Enthusiasts! My name is Rayman and this is my first post on CABG. Clonecommando007 invited me onto this board via FBTB, and I am pleased to meet you all. Some of you might know me from my other LEGO MOCs. I like many others on this forum specialise in making custom minifigs, but I tend to focus on clone troopers.

Anyway, I would very much like to share with you my on-going foray to create a complete collection of LEGO-rised Republic Gunship nose art from The Clone Wars and as well as some non-canon designs.

The following three stickers are my latest set. The one featuring the green twi'lek is my second update on the original I sticker that I drew in November, as clearer images of the gunship became avaliable. It is still however unfinished as I don't know it's name yet!

Gunship Art #4 (this gunship is totally non-canon, but the artwork is based on a republic pinup poster)





Gunship Art #5 (the name and detailing is non-canon, but the artwork is based on this reference image)





And as an added bonus a revised Gunship Art #3, updated so that it matches the artwork in The Clone Wars, although there are still no clear pictures that reveal its name.





There are other stickers and iterations of the ones above in my Brickshelf Folder so feel free to have a look. You can also find a blank republic gunship sticker template on the large sticker sheet. There are also redrawn and cleaned up images of TLG's original 7676 gunship stickers.

Welcome Rayman! It's great to have you here! I've seen some of your designs and they are A-W-E-S-O-M-E! If I'm ever able to get a Republic Gunship I will print some of these stickers and apply them. I really like the Droid head one! :grin:

Nice to hear from a few familiar names from both FBTB and EB G'day everybody and thank you very much for the warm welcome. Well I am glad that you are enjoying these stickers.

At the moment I am short on white 6x8 slopes so I can't show you the stickers applied onto an actual gunship - I only have the one 7676. So it would be awesome if anyone who has or will be using these stickers to post a photo or two.

I will do an alternative sticker for the orange twi'lek as someone on EB requested that I draw "boobs" on her, expect to have that done in a week but I sincerely think that she looks fine the way she is hahaha

Also if anyone spots new gunship artwork or "pin-up" poster art from TCW that I am yet to draw please post the info and pics, as chances are I may have missed it

Just a suggestion, not a request (you must be getting pretty sick of those from me right now ), but the original RGS sticker sheet from 2002 would be pretty sweet for us folks without the cash to blow on the swanky new one. As anyone who owns the original RGS can attest to, the old stickers are getting all peely and yuck now.

Haha, hmm I might crack after your 66th request Jinja , but I do think that it would be a good idea. I never got the original gunship, so doing a stickersheeet for it would most certainly be helpful. Does anyone have a scan of the sheet? I'd be happy to redraw it up for non-peely and yucky decal prints.

If you can give me some 6x8 white slopes legorevolution I'd have those photos up pronto. I have the means to make the stickers but not nearly enough gunships!

Bigger the better. We're trying to make it look 'real' here, not to sell these for marketing, aren't we?
Right now the sticker sheet I'm printing with has perforated edges of about 1" by 2"...so it would butcher the design. If I get a bigger sticker sheet area, or someone mails me decal paper or something, then I would gladly print these up and try several combinations of them.
