I bought a lot of technic (bionicle) before I was a normal lego builder(I didn't start till 2005) but then this year I lost interest in bionicle the storyline is bad the sets are simpler with less pieces, so now I only buy SW. I hope that that something else will come around that will attract me. Fordo Yo!

Green I find that very odd, however it's a good way to reduce the number of toys you have to buy for your kid. ONLY Star Wars! Problem is that you can buy thousands of each set. Ahhhh. Armies. Smile Green

Exactly, that is a good side to one theme collecting. But I really miss bionicle (my mom doesn't we were spending around 1,000 dollars on lego a year). Razz Fordo Yo!

Personal Style 101

One thing that every artist knows is you have to have a niche.

What’s niche? A niche is one thing that you specialize in.

Mine for art in general is scenic landscapes in watercolors.

At work my niche is Youth Crimes.

But I build Lego? How does that help me?

Find something you’re good at: castles, space, sculpture, mosaics, mini figures, mecha, etc. Then focus on that. Don’t limit yourself, try other things too. But if you’re good at one thing do it and do it really well. For example Kaminoan’s Fine Clonier’s niche is decals for mini figures.

Side Bar: Does anyone remember when a famous professional sports player switched to a new sport? They pretty much sucked. Didn’t they? They had a niche and left it.

So, your niche is Star Wars Lego. Are you good at making walkers, starships, vignettes, or maybe dioramas? Explore.

I’m going to go build some Starships. Have Fun & Keep Building!

I focus on small things mostly like minifigs or vehicles. Sometimes I get a bit bigger but it doesn't look that cool anymore as you can see on my gunship. I knew this information already, but thanks anyway Rook! Smile

EDIT: Oh My God astoriabluelegos how do you get so many money?! Shocked

They actualy made minifigures with prachutes for the Dino Attack Line, I've got two, unfortunatly the parachutes are non-detachable.

P.S. I get that much money from working REALLY HARD on whatever needs to be done. Smile Blue Arc

Color Moods & Camouflage 101

What are color moods?

Color moods are what you feel when you look at a color. Example: When think of a hospital what color do think? White. What’s the feeling of a hospital. Clean maybe, stand off “ish”, or don’t touch.

So does white feel warm? No. What colors feel warm? Orange or Yellow. Think of a sunny summer day. What do you see?

So how does this help me build a better model?

What do you want people to feel when they see this model?

Fear or mystery? Black.

Calm and at peace? Green.

Racing and fast? Red.

Cool or cold? Blue.

So, color helps convey an emotion. Why? Ask a psychologist.

Ok everyone understands “Camouflage”. You may or may no want to camouflage an item. But remember when you pick colors for a military item they are often camouflaged to their environment. Desert = Sandy Tans & Browns, Forest or Jungle = Greens & Browns, Ice & Snow = White & Blues. Well you get the idea. Have Fun & Keep Building.
