Waxer, Boil, and Commander Cody

Post  Sithassassin on Sat Jun 27, 2009 11:40 am

I've seen a bunch of people make these awesome guys so I thought that I would give them a shot. I think that they came out very nicely. Laughing

You are right, my friend - they did come out nicely! There's a little roughness on the markings, but this seems to be generally indicative of Sharpie work. Overall, it's well done with minimal smearing and shear Wink . Loving Cody's extra coloration, by the way.

Doesn't this go in the minifigure section? But, out of all the attempts I have seen at making these, this was is very nicely done. Looks smooth and even. Nice job. Wink

Looks wonderful! The orange could have been a little more bright though.

Did you use acrylic spray? 'Cause there is 0 blotchiness! If you used acrylic spray, tell me which brand! Beautiful and straight lines. Nice work on the legs!

It looks like sharpie because if it was paint then it would prbably be messy. Smile

The orange is all paint (thats about all I use) but the black on the arms, helm., and legs are sharpie.

It's a very clean job considering it's both sharpie and paint. I moved this thread to the minifig creations thread because that's where it belongs. Yellow

That's making a huge assumption there bud, lot's of people don't paint like they're 12 and have stolen their parents whiskey. My brothers ones were fairly decent.

How did you color the visor for Cody? Sharpie? Paint?
